The chamber consists of a controlled enclosure where temperature and humidity levels can be adjusted and maintained at specific set points. During calibration, instruments are placed inside the chamber and exposed to different temperature and humidity levels to assess their performance and accuracy. By comparing the readings from the instrument being calibrated with the known values generated by the chamber, technicians can make necessary adjustments to ensure the instrument is operating correctly.

- 5%RH to 95%RH humidity range for temperature between 70°F and 100°F (21°C to 38°C)
- 45°F to 140°F (7°C to 60°C) temperature range
- +/- 1.2%RH accuracy @ 77°F (25°C). +/-2.5%RH accuracy across the operating temperature range
- +/- 1.0°F (0.5°C) temperature accuracy
